We had a blast showing off our costumes, decorating our pumpkins, having a Halloween dance, walking in our parade, and enjoying our party with friends! Happy Halloween!!
We used all of our senses to explore apples and pumpkins last week. We made predictions of what each apple would taste like based on it’s appearance, then discussed our findings. We also learned some great new descriptive words. Our sense of taste sure was happy!
We had lots of fun learning all about units of measure last week. We used rulers, cubes, links and our scale to measure our apples, pumpkins and even ourselves! We also learned what a Venn diagram is. We used it to compare and contrast apples to pumpkins. We then applied what we learned to compare and make predictions about other classroom objects. Our favorite was comparing our friends! This was our first glimpse into the scientific method. We discussed hypothesis, experiment, procedure, results and conclusion.
Look what we can do!!!
We love being able to freely explore our science center during choice time.
We had so much fun playing games, reading books, and snuggling up in our tent during our camping week.
There’s just not a better way to spend a beautiful fall afternoon than cloud watching with good friends!
