Congratulations to our little teachers. We all had a blast taking turns reading our favorite books and sitting in the teacher chair for a day!!
Sometimes being stuck inside can be difficult. Sharing a space with 20 friends and playing with the same toys all day… all week. Preppers love to utilize available space, like the Spanish classroom.
We had a very successful first week of book sharing. Some books gave us a great laugh and others reminded us that we are each unique. We jus love the endless possibilities a book can give us.
Changing things up for a day keeps a group of 3 and 4 year olds happy and busy. We all enjoyed taking the classroom outside for an afternoon of chalk and center play.
Any moment is a teachable moment. The Preppers spent a beautiful afternoon in our courtyard putting all that we have learned about agriculture this week to very good use. We tilled and cultivated the soil in our planter box, added our homemade compost and fresh soil. We then planted seeds in starter containers to be carefully cared for and then transplanted into our garden. Lastly, we re-potted our beloved classroom plant, Monkey Plant, to a spacious new home. We took the time to explore its roots, stem and leaves, and even found a few creepy crawly garden friends. Happy Spring!
The rain went away just long enough for us to get out and have some fun!!
We were given so many compliments on our fun green outfits.
